The aim was to create a stay-type bathhouse on the 3rd and 4th floors of COCONO SUSUKINO, where guests can stay for up to 23 hours, and to make it a "sauna sanctuary" that concentrates the appeal of Hokkaido in a way found nowhere else.

すすきのの商業施設「COCONO SUSUKINO」3・4階に、最長23時間滞在できる滞在型温浴施設をつくることを目的とした。北海道の魅力を凝縮した、ここでしか体験できない「サウナ聖地」を目指した。

Totonoe Oyakata, a Hokkaido native, produced the sauna rooms, refining every detail of temperature, humidity and lighting in pursuit of ideal heat and humidity. The overall space was designed by architect Taichi Kuma, his partner on SAZAE in Naoshima. The facility was planned as a place where tourists, couples, business travelers and sauna newcomers alike can spend the whole day.

北海道出身のととのえ親方がサウナ室をプロデュースし、温度・湿度・照明など細部に至るまで理想的な熱と湿度を突き詰めた。施設全体の空間設計は、直島「SAZAE」でもタッグを組んだ建築家・隈太一氏が担当した。観光客やカップル、ビジネス利用、サウナ初心者まで一日中過ごせる場として設計した。

Two types of sauna rooms are provided for men and women. One features HARVIA's "water-wheel" sauna stove, the first in Hokkaido, with auto-löyly every 10 minutes; the other is built with large red cedar. Two cold baths, a barrel type with an overhead water shower and a chilled type, let guests feel Hokkaido's cold air. The facility also offers an outdoor cooling area of about 100㎡, a co-ed bedrock space using light and shadow in an atrium, a lounge with Hokkaido sweets, and capsule-style nooks for rest.

男女別に2種類のサウナ室を用意。1室には北海道初導入のHARVIA「水車型サウナストーブ」を据え、10分ごとのオートロウリュを行う。もう1室は大型のレッドシダーを用いた。水風呂は頭上から放水する樽型と冷水型の2種類で、北海道の冷気を感じられる。約100㎡の外気浴スペース、吹き抜けの光と影を生かした男女共用の岩盤スペース、北海道のお菓子が楽しめるラウンジ、カプセル型のおこもりスペースを備える。
