PURPOSE

Japan Sauna Culture
to the World

Sauna, which was born in Finland, is creating a new form in Japan today.

Back in 2018, sauna was still a minor entertainment in Japan, and the image of sauna was negative and painful.

“We want to positively rebrand Japanese sauna”

With this in mind, we connected people and cultures that had previously had little contact with sauna, such as women, entrepreneurs, youth, medical, fashion, surfing, golf, gourmet food, architecture, and design.

And a new value was added to Japanese sauna. It was a completely different from what it had been in the past.

Japan has a long history of bathing culture, and the existence of
high-temperature sauna and cold water bath comes from there.

By combining Japan’s unique bathing and sauna culture with European sauna culture, a new form of sauna has been born in Japan.

“Totonou” (to-to-noh-u), which also became the origin of “TTNE”, represents the new form of Japanese sauna.

Japan has a lot of relevant things with sauna, such as “shiki” that distinctive four seasons, “Japanese cuisine” that respect seasonal ingredients, and abundant pure water that derives from rich nature.

They are very unique and have great value in all over the world.

People come all the way from all over the world to visit saunas in Japan. That’s the future we are aiming to create. We want Japanese people to realize the excellence of sauna once again.

We keep taking on challenges toward the limitless future of sauna.

ととのえ親⽅(松尾⼤)とサウナ師匠(秋⼭⼤輔)を中⼼に立ち上がった、サウナクリエイティブ集団。

TTNE is a sauna creative team led by Dai Matsuo (aka Totonoe Oyakata) and Daisuke Akiyama (aka Sauna Master) .

複数の会社を経営する傍ら、全国のサウナ施設のプロデュースを手掛ける実業家にしてプロサウナー。札幌を訪れる経営者や著名人など1000人以上をサウナにアテンドし、ととのう状態に導いてきたことから“ととのえ親方”と呼ばれるように。
若者を中心とした幅広い層に受け入れられるサウナ文化を根付かせたいという思いから、サウナ師匠(秋山大輔)と共にサウナー専門ブランド[TTNE]を設立。11月11日をサウナの記念日「ととのえの日」に制定(日本記念日協会認定)し、今行くべき全国のサウナ11施設を発表・表彰する「SAUNACHELIN(サウナシュラン)」をスタートさせた。その後、サウナに関する医学的研究及び安全な利用に関する知識を提唱する「日本サウナ学会」を設立し、サウナ機器世界No.1シェア「Harvia」の国内正規代理店として製品販売を開始。のちに世界初の「Harvia グローバルアンバサダー」に就任。サウナ界における様々なジャンルで活動を展開しながら、日本におけるサウナのリブランディングを目指している。
代表的なサウナプロジェクトとして、3D加工で木材を削り出し”うねり”を生み出した三次元デザインサウナ「北こぶし知床」や、建築界の最高栄誉といわれる「プリツカー賞」授賞の世界的建築家・坂茂氏とタッグを組んだ「スイデンテラス」、5基のストーブが並ぶ大迫力のドラゴンサウナが目玉の「スパメッツァおおたか 竜泉寺の湯」など、圧倒的な存在感を放つ作品がある。そして最近では、日本ハムの新球場「エスコンフィールド北海道」で、野球を見ながら入れる世界唯一の球場内サウナ「tower eleven onsen & sauna」をプロデュースし、大きな話題となった。
メディア出演多数。日本各地に眠る素敵なサウナとカルチャーを探すYouTubeチャンネル「&SAUNA」に出演中。著書に『Saunner BOOK』(A-Works)、本田直之氏との共著『人生を変えるサウナ術』(KADOKAWA)がある。

Totonoe-Oyakata [Dai Matsuo], he is a businessman and a professional "Saunner" who manages several companies and produces sauna facilities nationwide.He is called "Totonoe-Oyakata" (master of sauna) because he has guided more than 1,000 sauna guests, including executives and celebrities visiting Sapporo, to a state of sauna comfort and relaxation (aka Totonou in Japanese).
With a desire to establish a sauna culture that is accepted by a wide range of people, especially young people, he established TTNE, a brand specializing in saunas, with Daisuke Akiyama (Sauna-Shisho).He established November 11 as "Totonoe Day" (Sauna Day), a day to commemorate saunas (recognized by the Japan Anniversary Association), and started "SAUNACHELIN" to announce and award 11 sauna facilities nationwide that should be visited now. Later, he established the "Sauna Society of Japan" to advocate medical research on saunas and knowledge of their safe use, and started product sales as an official distributor of "Harvia", the world's No.1 sauna equipment maker. He later became the world's first "Harvia Global Ambassador". He has been working on rebranding sauna in Japan while expanding his activities in various genres in the sauna world.
Representative sauna projects include the "Kitakobushi Shiretoko," a three-dimensional design sauna that uses 3D machining to create "undulations" in the wood. The "Suiden Terrace," a collaboration with world-renowned architect Shigeru Ban, who was awarded the highest honor in the world of architecture. In addition, Dai produced "Spa Mezza Ohtaka Ryusenji no Yu" which features five stoves lined up in a row. More recently, he produced the world's first and only sauna in a baseball stadium, "tower eleven onsen & sauna," at Nippon Ham's new stadium, Escondido Field Hokkaido, where visitors can enter while watching a baseball game, which gained a huge exposure. He has visited more than 1,000 saunas in 50 countries. He has appeared in many media. He is currently appearing on "&SAUNA," a YouTube channel that searches for wonderful saunas and culture in various parts of Japan. He is the author of "Saunner BOOK" (A-Works) and co-author with Naoyuki Honda of "Sauna Techniques to Change Your Life" (KADOKAWA).

イベントを中心とするブランディングプロモーション会社を経営しつつ、プロサウナーとして活動。20代よりサウナに開眼し、世界中の様々なサウナを経験しつつ、サウナの素晴らしさを伝えているうちに“サウナ師匠”と呼ばれるように。日本最大級のファッションフェスタ「東京ガールズコレクション」のプロデュースや、野外音楽フェス「ULTRA JAPAN」VVIP統括等、様々なプロデュース実績の知見を活したブランディング手法で、日本サウナのリブランディングやプロデュースを手がけているサウナ界の第一人者である。
ととのえ親方(松尾大)と共にプロサウナー専門ブランド[TTNE]を立ち上げ、11月11日をサウナの記念日「ととのえの日」に制定(日本記念日協会認定)。今行くべき全国のサウナ11施設を発表・表彰する「SAUNACHELIN(サウナシュラン)」をスタート。その後も日本最大級のサウナイベント「SAUNA FES JAPAN」をプロデュースしたり、医師の加藤容崇氏らと共にサウナに関する研究を進め医学的効能を明らかにする「日本サウナ学会」設立した。
代表的なサウナプロジェクトとして、下北沢の高架下にてコロナビールとタッグを組んだ都市型サウナイベント「CORONA WINTER SAUNA」、日本初の完全個室サウナ「ソロサウナtune」、まるでホテルの客室のようなしつらえの「白井屋ホテル/BEDROOM SAUNA」、隈研吾建築都市設計事務所とタッグを組みつくったアートの聖地・直島の「SANA MANE/SAZAE」など、新たなコンセプトのサウナを次々と生み出し、日本のサウナカルチャーに刺激を与え続けている。
また、八村塁選手らと共にInstagramの日本初テレビCMに起用されたり、フジテレビ『関ジャニ∞クロニクルF』で関ジャニ∞メンバーにサウナの入り方を伝授したりと、様々なメディアで積極的に活動。最近では、その活動がフィンランドの世界No.1サウナブランド「Harvia」の目に留まり、グローバルアンバサダーに世界で初めて就任。活躍の場を世界にも広げながら、日々サウナで汗をかくのみならず、サウナの為に汗をかいている。

Daisuke Akiyama is a professional "Saunner" while running a branding and promotion company focusing on events.In his 20's, he discovered sauna and experienced various saunas around the world, and became known as a "Sauna-Shisho"(Sauna Master) as he shared the wonderful world of sauna.He has produced "Tokyo Girls Collection," one of Japan's largest fashion festivals, and overseen VVIP for the outdoor music festival "ULTRA JAPAN". He is a leading figure of Japanese sauna industry.
Together with Totonoe-Oyakata (Dai Matsuo), he launched TTNE, a brand specializing in professional saunas, and designated November 11 as "Totonoe Day" (Sauna Day), a day to commemorate saunas (recognized by the Japan Anniversary Association).Started "SAUNACHELIN" to announce and award 11 sauna facilities nationwide that should be visited now. He has also produced one of the largest sauna events in Japan, "SAUNA FES JAPAN," and established the "Sauna Society of Japan" with Dr. Yotaka Kato, a physician, to promote research on saunas and clarify their medical efficacy.
Representative sauna projects include "CORONA WINTER SAUNA," an urban sauna event held under the elevated railway tracks in Shimokitazawa in collaboration with Corona; "Solo Sauna tune," the first completely private sauna in Japan; "Shiraiya Hotel/BEDROOM SAUNA", and "SANA MANE/SAZAE" in Naoshima, a sacred place of art, created in collaboration with Kengo Kuma & Associates, and they all continue to stimulate sauna culture in Japan. He has also been active in various media, such as being featured in Japan's first TV commercial for Instagram with Rui Hachimura and others, and teaching the members of Kanjani-Eight how to use saunas on Fuji TV's "Kanjani Eight Chronicle F". Recently, his activities caught the attention of Harvia, the world's No. 1 sauna brand from Finland, and he became the world's first global ambassador of Harvia. While expanding his activities to the world, he not only sweats in the sauna every day, but also sweats for the sauna.
